Mixing with the locals...

Mood: So so - bored - tonnes of stuff in my head - not good..

Peak Agenda: No peak agenda really... I hv been exploring this area while hb is at work... its like the hotel that we are staying in (close to train station so that its easy for hb to go to work everyday) is actually like as tho we were in Toa Payoh central hahhaha (if u live in Sg u will know what i mean).. the free shuttle to the city takes abt half an hr or so and i figured since i hv done the touristy thingy with hb, I am better off exploring this area myself...

My routine.. I will get up early... (not bec i get to hv breakfast with hb.. usually thats not the case.. ) where ever i go.. I will usually hv my breakfast with Sonia and after breakfast its either back to the hotel room or go out and explore like in this case.. we rather explore this area... lots to look at actually.. different fm the city center... individual little shops.. one after another... its like u walk all the way till the end and u cross the street and they hv another long stretch of shops.. funny they even hv Max Mara in the suburb :) They also hv lots of side road vendors selling fm shoes to clothing to books...cheap stuff (macam kat pasar tani hehehe) and these road vendors are run by Indian ppl.. I mean they are everywhere... I even see lots of Indian guys working in the city promoting the hop on and off bus.. wonder why they decided to live and work here instead.. and hey they do speak like the locals..(even to one another!)

Anyway.. I love to see how the ppl here go abt their everyday life.. see kids in school (yes theres a kinder around here) see how the oldies ppl shop... very very friendly ppl.. they love to make little conversation eventho they know i dont understand a single word they say hhahha... watch little boys play soccer everyday at 5pm.. I take Sonia to the bookstore.. to the toyshop for her to play.. I went to all 3 supermarkets just to see and compare which one is cheaper hahha.. I make sure i am out early cos the shops here close at noon for lunch & siesta and will only reopen at 4pm till 8pm... so by lunch time i am already back in the hotel room.. Sonia will hv her afternoon nap and mama will get to blog.. soo good stuff.. I managed to occupy our time since hb only comes back very late.

On a side track.. To be honest.. I am beginning to miss home... miss the local food.. miss my family... miss my mom who is in Mecca right now performing her Umrah and most of all.. I miss my pantry (i bumped into a warehouse selling lots of baking stuff tho).. oh well.. not long to go... cant wait to fly back this weekend.. :o)
