I love taking food photos and since i am only using digital camera to take all my food photos... i hv no choice but to depend alot on natural light to take good pics... if only i hv DSLR... hmmmm maybe i hv to wait till next yr mother's day or hint hint... maybe for bday/Christmas present dear?? hahaha
Had intended to bake one of Dorie Greenspan recipe but change my mind when Danish and Dafinah came over... i knew that this colourful apam will be a hit among them... sure enough each time i take it out of my steamer they gobble them down lol... recipe fm MR.
Ingredients
250 gm sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence
200 ml fresh milk (room temp)
300 gm flour
1 tsp ovalette
Food colouring (ur choice)
paper cups
Method
Heat steamer.... making sure water bubbling before u start to steam batter
Beat sugar and eggs till thick and fluffy.... abt 10mins on high speed
Add vanilla and beat till well blended
Add ovalette and continue beating
Add flour alternatively with milk on low speed till incorporated
Divide batter into 3 portion... add colour to each portion and fill it into 3 different piping bag
Pipe 3 different colour into each paper cup and steam it for 10 - 15 mins.
