Blueberry Cheese Tart




A dessert that I've prepared to gv to my neighbour.. as u already know.. we moved here like a year ago and no doubt bef this we hv been living in an area where there were not many malay families around..err in fact there were no malay families around hehehe.. so this year when one of our neighbours started giving us food for iftar .. hb felt really really touch and excited.. he said... "ahhhh now this is the kampung feeling that i likeeee" hahaha





Soo every single day.. whenever we hv our iftar at home.. hb wud gladly volunteer to be my delivery boy kahkahkah.. ty Am flora for the wonderful recipe.. hb loves it!





Ingredients
1 egg
125g butter
6og icing sugar
250g flour
1/2 vanilla essence
1-2 tbsp water


Method
Preheat oven 160C
Mix all ingredients and divide dough into small balls (size shud be as big as ur thumb)
Press dough into a tart mold.. prick dough with fork and bake it for 15mins


Cream Cheese
Ingredients

250g Philadelphia Cream Cheese
60g butter
60g Icing sugar
1 egg

(I used blueberry pie fillings)

Method
Beat all ingredients until smooth & flat
Pipe in a little bit of blueberry fillings and then pipe in cream cheese.
Do whatever pattern u like on ur cream cheese filling and continue to bake for about 5 minutes.

I ada 500g of cream cheese masih valid untuk diconsume tapi my oven plak rosak, haishhh...

Eh CS 500g tu boleh buat macam macam cheesecake yg tak yah pakai oven tau.. so sayang if tak pakai sampai ter expire.. how much ah kat sana?? here 500g = $10

What is the price range of KA..or any other gd mixer..budget ard $800 tops.tu duit tabung yg tersimpan, tak leh lebih nanti aku kena makan rumput plak....ai nyer mixer pakai nampak dah kaput...

I bought it during Gss .. $799 ke $749 entah.. Lupa pulak.. Extra bowl i paid hmm dah lupa jugak - maklum he paid for it.. Tu scraper i ingat.. Paid $35 (purchase w purchase) ori price $60+

The bottom line is if u can wait for their annual sale this KA will only cost u $549 ( if u tak cerewet with whatever colour they offer) if not try to ho to Mayer n adk for discount if not u go to this shop kat chinatown.. Next to that famous kuil Selling kitchen stuff.. Situ paling murah that KA but not to sure if they sell other attachments ..

If not get kenwood.. My 20yrs old mixer is kenwood chef.. But old model overseas mari.. New kenwood local mari n different.. Kenwood u pi mustaffa also hv.. Cheaper i think..

If i jadi u i will buy KA cos of the different attachments that u can buy later.. Tu scraper sungguh berguna.. Now i beat butter guna that scraper head.. Tak yah nak pakai spatula to scrape tepi bowl lagi :))

So far when i try new recipe I akan bagi bagi kan hb work ppl and my mom or my siblings.. if u my neighbour u akan dapat one tupperware too .. cuma isi nye kurang sikit cos nak kena divide with lots hehehe

I Love Portughese Egg tarts as well as cheese cake but not cheese tart. I dont know why? Would like to ask U how make toppings on the lemon cheese cake just like the one sell at Secret Receipe. I've searched b4 still unsuccessfull.

Near my place, sometimes I can get 500gram Kraft Philadelphia cheese bar at RM6.50 each atBest Baking Solution. other brand also around that price.

I dont go to secret recipe .. i think i hv been to one for like 3 or 4 times aje.. dont know why.. not a big fan i guess but i like their chocolate banana cake tho

I google pic of secret recipe lemon cheesecake.. i think the topping is just lemon curd kan??

Baru nak jawab your Q re: price of 500g cream cheese. I bought Tatura n if I'm not mistaken it costs RM11+.

About Secret Recipe, I prefer La Manila anytime (setahu I diorang xde branch merata2 alam. I just know one at Taman Megah, PJ).

Tatura no have here.. Kalau nak murah kat sini jual in 1 kg but anchor brand.. Belasan dollar i think..

What is the size of the tart mould dan boleh kongsi recipe blueberry filling? Berapa banyak tartlets will this recipe make?

I'm sold and will have them for iftar hujung minggu ini.

P/S: I love all your tablewares. Alas, mine are usually hidden kerana jarang bake sejak sendirian di luar negeri.

The blueberry filling comes in a can.. its meant for blueberry pie fillings.. how many tartlets i tak pasti cos i didnt count but i will let u know later when i bake it for Eid.. size also I tak pasti.. took yg medium size aje..

I've just try your recipe.. niceeee... my friends just looove the taste.. I've listed few recipes from your blog that I would like to try it out... do you have any recipe on apple strudel? It's kinda looks like your mohnstrudel but the fillings is made of apples... searched for the recipe but couldn't find the right ingredients...

Glad u guys like it as much as we did.. regarding apple strudel.. i remember long time ago i used to bake apple struddle using kenwood mixer recipe book.. i hv to dig for it tho cos i hv no clue where i place it.. :o(
